Life As We Know It

I have DirecTV. I've had it for about 3 years now and on the whole, I'm pretty happy with it. Every once in awhile something fruity happens. One of the advantages of being a customer for so long is that they give me free movies every now and then. I ordered Dinner For Schmucks last time. It was okay. Nothing I found super hilarious. Although Zach Galifianakis's character was pretty funny!

So this past weekend, I started seeing some ads for ordering "Life As We Know It." If you ordered it, you got a 2nd movie for free (which I haven't ordered as yet). So where to start with this movie? ***Warning...spoilers***It was predictable. You knew right from the start that they were going to end up in a relationship. And this, I have a problem with. This movie promotes those silly little thoughts in women's and girls' heads that: "It doesn't matter that he's a playboy. If he loves me enough, he'll stop running around and be monogamous." I call B.S. Doesn't typically happen.

The other thing is more along the lines of the predictable but you KNEW the social worker was going to show up right after they made pot brownies. And you KNEW that the social worker was going to try to eat one of those pot brownies. You knew that she was going to run to the airport to tell him she loves him and you knew that he wouldn't be at the airport but waiting at the house instead.

Anyways, it was a cute little romp but too easy to guess what was going to happen and I got a bit bored with it. But at least I'm getting another one for free!

Sometimes a little predictable can be okay, especially for free!
